The fat cat went this morning for her feline leukemia and rabies shots.  She has sadly gained a lb, so is now at 16lbs. The vet put her on prescription food - had to wait at petco for their vet to call our vet to get a rx card - how annoying.  Haley is now on either Hill's Science Diet R/D or Eukanuba Restriced Calorie food - we are trying the Hill's SD first, as petco didn't have the other.  Hopefully, she will like the food - hard to imagine that she would never not like food.  She is in good health otherwise, so that is a good thing.  Let's hope this works :D

is finally here.  When I went to Pittsburgh for a weekend in early June, I was fortunate enough to schedule this when  Knit One was having a HUGE sale - 25-40% off of ALL YARN IN THE STORE.  Of course, I failed to purchase any 40% off yarn, but here is what I did manage to get:

Wow there is a lot to catalogue.  First, 2 hanks of Koigu KPPPM in 2 different colors.  Then 2 skeins of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran in 2 different colors for some awesome fetchings.  Then 5 skeins of Rowan Country in Heather.  Then a close up of the Malabrigo I purchased, 3 hanks of, leaving ONE orphan (oh well).  Next batch:

Four skeins of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Chunky for a vest for my mom - like the 2 I have knitted before from Speed Knitting.  Then 2 skeins of Noro Kureyon for another scarf from Last Minute knitted gifts that I can hopefully gift away. 

Now, this little tiramisu baby blanket, I have pictures of it finally:

It's about 28x28 using BlueSky Organic Cotton - I'm on skein #5 of 7 and a size N hook.  I have decided that I will probably never crochet again due to an annoying grinding sound in my wrist, which can only be seen as a bad thing. 
However, Haley did like the blanket:

Okay, I'm going to, I guess, make a monthly post, when I can, about my cats.  This month, there is a guest star, Purl from Sophie's Yarns.

Okay, my two maniacs here, Sophie (white paws) and Haley (FAT CAT) constantly fight over spots infront of the fire place.  Sophie got a scolding the one night when she BIT Haley because Haley wouldn't move.  It's quite funny if you were to witness it.

Next:

Here is my fat cat in all of her glory.  She looks a little possessed in that last shot.

Sophie's turn:

She tends to drape herself over the back of chairs a lot.  We were playing with a toy with Haley and she decided that she also needed attention.  She usually always looks pissed off too.


And Finally, Purl's turn!

I was standing by a display table (I think it was a dresser?) and the cat decided that she needed to be on my shoulders, so we walked around the store for a little bit while castingon, New Age Amazon, and my mother spoke with the owner (Jen?).  It was the strangest but best thing ever!
