Okay, so there has been much knitting going on!
I finished the first of the Charade socks:
These definitely need blocked, but I guess just wearing them around for a bit once the second sock is done will help in that department as I don't own blockers!
Second, I finished the first April-May Step by Step wrist warmer:
I like the stripes in the beginning more than the huge stripes going across the hand, but oh well. I doubt the second one is going to shape up as nice as this, I just did the increase row. I do like the pattern, except for the thumb (evil dpn's strike again). So I will be knitting the second one of these before I start the second sock of the Charades. I need to get started on the Waves scarf from knit picks as it is an xmas present and I tend to overly procrastinate.
May be stopping at Purl in NYC after the seminar I have to go to on Thursday. Stuff, what are you up to Thursday after work? Hopefully you see this! hehe.
That's right, 2 pairs this week. I have 4 more to go. Some are okay for after xmas gifts, so really, only 2. Haha. Yay.
I bought a pattern for a felted bag that I want to make, so that will happen after all of this xmas crap is done.
It's been rather cold lately, so I'm really wanting to knit myself something soft and warm, but I a: don't have supplies to do so, b: don't have time and c: have way too much else to knit before that can even be considered a possiblity.
How frustrating.
Here's 1 of 2 for New Age Amazon
Hopefully by Tuesday evening!
Here is a ton of pics of what I've recently finished and what I'm currently working on.
The silky yarn I bought because if you were to touch it... you'd buy it too! Tao luxury 100% silk. It's a mix of navy, teal, pink, silver, and all sorts of other colors - I'm going to make a narrow scarf - I think it'll go well with my navy v-neck merino sweater
This batch will knock a few items off of the xmas knitting list - I am done with homework assignments for a few weeks and just found out last night that my boss of 5 years has resigned and his last day is on the 13th. How sad, but not much work for me to do - I shall knit at work even more than I do now! I love being a graduate student!
Well the second pair of fetchings are done and given away already! Kat enjoyed them greatly and cannot wait for it to get cold enough in this god forsaken city so that she can wear them.
I finally figured out what I was doing wrong on the thumb gusset, I have to do what the directions indicated, but backwards, starting at the top instead of the bottom due to my style of knitting.
It's done. The first set. Only one mistake, but who cares. I need to work on the thumb gusset part, but they came out lovely. Several pics to follow :)
I was approached to knit an afghan today. With Cables. Why am I such a sucker? The woman is to buy the yarn and then tack on $20 for the cost. I'm too nice to my co-workers.
Only 2354562435436454325083546745 sets of fetching gloves to go... such a cheap gift, everyone is getting one, well except castingon, because, she can knit her own damn pair :)
